Dash Social
A downtown Halifax software team that global beauty and media brands trust
Founded in Halifax in 2013 as Dash Hudson, Dash Social builds social media and creator-marketing software for brands such as Amazon, Estée Lauder and Unilever. It is one of Canada's Top 100 Employers for 2025 and 2026 on the strength of generous parental, learning and flexibility policies. It got there on lean, mostly Atlantic Canadian capital.

How they workLeur façon de travailler
Our viewNotre avisDash Social's benefits are unusually generous for a company of its size: a 95% salary top-up for 17 weeks for new parents, tuition support with no annual cap, and a full December shutdown. Mediacorp named it one of Canada's Top 100 Employers in both 2025 and 2026, alongside Atlantic Canada's and small-and-medium employer honours. Hybrid staff are flown to Halifax each year for an all-expenses-paid Team Burst week.

What they do bestCe qu’elles font de mieux
Our viewNotre avisDash Social helps brands plan, publish, measure and grow on social and creator channels, with deep roots in visual analytics that began with Instagram. Its customer list leans toward beauty, fashion and media leaders, and in 2025 it launched a creator marketing platform it built in-house. All of it is designed and engineered from Halifax.

Venture-backed
Our viewNotre avisDash Social has scaled on comparatively little outside capital: angel and Innovacorp seed money in 2014-2015, then a roughly $2M round with Build Ventures in 2017, after it had already reached break-even. It is a case of revenue-led growth from Atlantic Canada.
