Jane
Helping the helpers: a profitable, remote-first company where everyone is an owner
Jane began in a North Vancouver clinic and grew on its own revenue into practice-management software used by roughly a quarter of a million practitioners. Every employee holds options, support is staffed by real humans, and a 2025 secondary sale valued the company at about C$1.8 billion with almost no venture money raised.

How they workLeur façon de travailler
Our viewNotre avisJane's culture fits on a sticky note: Love Jane, Work Hard, Have Fun. The practices behind it are concrete. Every employee holds options, staff can work from anywhere in Canada or the US, parental leave applies wherever you live, and eight years of tenure earns a paid one-month sabbatical. That care carries through to customers, and its human-staffed support team has won three Stevie Awards.

What they do bestCe qu’elles font de mieux
Our viewNotre avisJane is all-in-one clinic software for allied health covering booking, charting, billing, payments and telehealth, built for physiotherapists, chiropractors, massage therapists and mental-health practitioners. It was designed around a real clinic's needs and has been profitable for more than a decade. It is now pushing into the US and adding services, including taking over Ginger Desk's administrative-support team in 2026.

Our viewNotre avisJane is mostly self-funded, with less than $10 million raised externally. Its investor rounds have been secondary sales that gave existing shareholders liquidity rather than new capital: JMI bought more than $100 million of shares in 2021, and TCV led a C$500 million-plus secondary at about C$1.8 billion in 2025. In 2026 it began acquiring, bringing in Ginger Desk and all 53 of its people.
