Visier

A people-analytics company that holds its own culture to its own data

Visier turns workforce data into business answers for thousands of employers, and it uses its own analytics to hold itself accountable on inclusion. It became a Vancouver unicorn on a Goldman Sachs-led round and has since bought skills and AI technology in Paris and California.

01 · Culture

How they work

Our viewVisier's five plainly worded values, from 'Roll up your sleeves' to 'Be proud', describe a scrappy, learning-first team. It earned five straight years (2019–2023) on Canada's Top Small & Medium Employers list. The company tracks its diversity goals with internal analytics, which is fitting for a firm that sells people insight, and it offers volunteer time off, wellness stipends and a co-op-to-full-time pathway.

02 · Capabilities

What they do best

Our viewVisier built people analytics as a category. Its cloud platform answers workforce questions on hiring, retention, skills and cost for large enterprises, and through embedded partners it reaches far more organizations than it sells to directly. Founders from Business Objects gave it deep business-intelligence roots, and acquisitions added skills mapping and employee-experience AI.

03 · Capital

Who backs them, and what they back

Venture-backedRaised US$219.5M · 2021 source ↗

Our viewVisier is venture-backed and private. Its 2021 Series E of US$125 million, led by Goldman Sachs Asset Management, valued it above US$1 billion and brought total funding to US$219.5 million. It has used that capital to buy technology, picking up Yva.ai and Boostrs in 2022 to deepen its AI and skills capabilities.
